1. Is the pediatrician board certified?Yes. Dr. Miranda is Pediatric Board Certified.
2. Do you have after hour services?Yes. After hours you may call our
office where you will be directed to our call service. Your questions may be directed to a qualified pediatric nurse through Methodist Hospital, or our physician on call.
3. What are your office hours?Our
office hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, we are closed for lunch from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.
4. Do you accommodate same day sick visits?Yes. We can certainly accommodate your child for a sick visit
on the same day.
5. Are we able to transfer Medical Records from previous providers?Yes. We can fax a Medical Release of information at your request.
6. What is a nurse practitioner?A
nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse with advance academic and clinical experience in diagnosing and managing most common and many chronic illnesses, either independently or as part of a health care team. Nurse practitioners provide
high-quality primary, acute and specialty health care services similar to those of a physician. NP's practice under the rules and regulations of the state in which they are licensed. Most NP's are nationally certified in their specialty area.
NP's provide healthcare services in all states and in many other countries around the world NP's can prescribe in all 50 states and the district of Columbia.
